1 Killed in Pedestrian Collision on Oak Springs Drive [Austin, TX]

One Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Accident on Airport Boulevard

AUSTIN, TX (October 25, 2023) – On the morning of Thursday, October 12th, a fatal pedestrian crash on Oak Springs Drive resulted in the loss of one individual's life.

At approximately 6:24 a.m., authorities arrived at the scene near Airport Boulevard, in response to a pedestrian collision. The circumstances leading to the event are currently under investigation.

Preliminary findings indicate that a vehicle struck a pedestrian in the vicinity. First responders promptly attended to the victim, who had sustained severe injuries. Emergency crews administered CPR on severely injured pedestrian.

However, the victim later succumbed to their injuries. Both Oak Springs Drive and Airport Boulevard were temporarily closed, resulting in delays and heavy traffic for commuters in the area. No additional information is available at this time. Once available, further details will be released.
