The R.M.S. Queen Mary is hardly the stuffy British experience it was when the ship first set sail in 1936. Today the five bars and restaurants on board still pay homage to the classics with an updated twist for visitors and locals alike, with sprawling views of downtown Long Beach and a currently snow-covered Mt. Baldy.
And there is always a fun holiday event going on. On Tuesday, Feb. 5, visit the Queen for a special Shanghai Nights event to celebrate Chinese New Year featuring Wushu Shaolin Lion and Dragon dancing, Wushu Warriors Shaolin acrobatics, a guzheng ensemble and plenty of food in the Queen's Salon: queenmary.com/events/upcoming-events/.
