The ultimate Sunday brunch experience takes place at Camphor, DTLA's modern French bistro with an exclusive afternoon of daytime decadence on Sunday, Oct. ?23 from 10:30 a.m. to ?4 p.m.

Camphor's Co-Executive Chef Duo Max Boonthanakit and ?Lijo George and Hotel Bel Air's Executive Pastry Chef Tiffany Pascua have teamed up for a?pastry-laden collaborative brunch that includes??a roving 'Pastry Chariot' featuring a selection of house baked goods and sweets, Tomato Water Bloody Mary's, endless flowing champagne and a $65 prix-fixe menu with the option to luxe it up with extravagant add-ons like caviar and fresh shaved truffles.

Anyone looking to grab a quick bite on Sunday morning can head to Camphor between 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.for a self-service selection of breakfast sandwiches, pastries, coffee and tea?on the bistro patio, or as a take-away option. Reservations for the one-time-only brunch are strongly recommended and can be made for October 23 via Resy.

The Vegandale Festival takes place on Saturday, Oct. 22, at the Los Angele State Historic Park where everything sold on site is 100% vegan. Vendors will be coming from Canada, The Philippines, the United Kingdom, New York, Colorado, Georgia, Florida, and Arizona, and include Nature's Fynd, Mixed Up Cocktails, 24 Vegan, Gracias Madre and Happy Ice.

The Latino Equality Alliance is planning one of the country's few LGBTQ Día de los Muertos festivals in Boyle Heights on Saturday, Oct. 22, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. The organization also has denounced LA City Council Member Kevin De Leon's sponsorship of the street festival given his recent homophobic and racist remarks. LEA joins other social justice groups in asking for his resignation.

The growth of the LGBTQ festival has led the organizers to expand the event to the streets in front of its Mi Centro building at 553 S. Clarence St., Los Angeles. This year's event, Semillas con Amor,'' will pay tribute to LGBTQ+ youth who have been victims of violence.

The Calavera LGBTQ Festival will include traditional altars, queer Latinx artists, Aztec dancing, ?Tacos El Diablitos,Dear Mama LA?and an extravagant Mx. Calavera drag competition. Special musical guest, Gio Bravo, also will be performing as the first male Transgender Regional Mexican and Reggaeton recording artist. KABC-TV Reporter Eric Resendiz will serve as the event's master of ceremonyThe Brig in Venice celebrates its 70th anniversary on Sunday, Oct. 23, with 70-cent well drinks from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., as well as complimentary BRIG tattoos by a local tattoo artist, and limited edition hats and tee shirts while supplies last.There will be sounds? from local bands and DJs, including THE BRIG Band, DJ Dred Foxx, DJ Illa and DJ Jayvon. A portion of all proceeds from the anniversary party will benefit St. Joseph Center.

Cabra, Chef Stephanie Izard's delicious DTLA rooftop spot, will be celebrating all things Halloween on Saturday, Oct. 29 from 8p.m. until ?midnight. Experience a night of thrills, tasty snacks, boo-zy cocktails, and?boogie the night away with their resident DJ. Sprinkles, the bakery that brought us the world's first Cupcake ATM, is opening in Manhattan Beach Village on Wednesday, Oct. 26. To celebrate, Sprinkles MBV will hand out one complimentary Red Velvet Cupcake to the first 50 guests.
