A Gianni Russo Sunday Supper and CollaBrew Festival In Frogtown - Here’s What’s Popping Up

On Saturday, April 15, the Pink Boots Society Los Angeles Chapter is partnering with 20 breweries across Southern California to host its first beer festival – CollaBrew Festival. The festival will highlight Pink Boots Collaboration Brew Day beers brewed by women and non-binary individuals in the industry, as well as feature educational panels, DJs, and curated women-owned local food vendors like Sad Girl Creamery, Hangaburs - smash burgers and Vchos Food Truck.

The event will take place next door to Frogtown Brewery with proceeds to benefit Pink Boots Society educational opportunities for women and non-binary individuals.

Participating breweries include: 14 Cannons, Beachwood Brewing Long Beach, The Bruery, Eagle Rock Brewery, Frogtown Brewery,  GameCraft Brewing, Hermosa Brewing Co., Highland Park Brewery, Last Name Brewing, Lawless Brewing Co, Left Coast Brewing, Los Angeles Ale Works, Malibu Brewing Company, Ogopogo Brewing, Project Barley, Sage Brews, Telco Brewery, Topa Topa Brewing Co., White Labs Brewing San Diego.  Click here for more information and tickets.

The annual Gin & Juice celebration is back in Long Beach on Sunday, April 16, from 12 p.m. - 6 p.m. at Wille’s Tin Shop and Roxanne’s in California Heights. There will be live music, food vendors, gin tastings and martini-making workshops as well as an Instagram backdrop activation  with classic cars, Olmec head, and Villa Riviera postcards and Hour of Comedy inside the Exhibition Room. The Godfather-inspired Sunday Supper at Fanny’s at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, in collaboration Corleone Fine Italian, featuring Gianni Russo takes place on Sunday, April 30. There will be an exclusive dinner menu inspired by memorable food references from The Godfather, including Genco Olive Oil by Corleone Fine Italian – the official culinary collection of the movie classic. The dinner will be hosted by actor Gianni Russo, who portrays Connie’s husband Carlo Rissi in the film, who will guide the four-course dinner at Fanny’s with a menu inspired by memorable food references from The Godfather, including Genco Olive Oil by Corleone Fine Italian, including: 

  • Vito Corleone’s Focaccia and Genco Olive Oil and Balsamic by Corleone Fine Italian

  • Luca Brasi Sleeps with the Fishes – Spot Prawn Crudo, spring garlic, salsa verde

  • Clemenza’s Sunday Gravy – Rigatoni Bolognese or Spaghetti al Pomodoro
