15-Year-Old and 17-Year-Old Pronounced Dead after Rollover Accident near Avenue O

LAKE LOS ANGELES, CA (December 20, 2023) - Late Saturday night, Alejandro Monge Ramos and Diego Manzo died in a rollover crash on Fieldspring Street and Avenue O.

At approximately 11:15 p.m., law enforcement responded to an incident just south of Avenue O. According to reports, the driver of a 2019 Jeep Cherokee heading north veered off the road and flipped over. None of the six teenage occupants were wearing seat belts at the time.

Emergency medical personnel pronounced 17-year-old passenger Ramos from Hemet dead at the scene. Meanwhile, 15-year-old driver Manzo from Hesperia was taken to a hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Simultaneously, a 14-year-old resident of Lancaster and a 17-year-old from Palmdale were hospitalized with serious injuries. The 16-year-old from Littlerock and another 17-year-old from Pearlblossom sustained minor injuries. All the injured individuals were transported to Antelope Valley Medical Center for further medical attention.

The California Highway Patrol urges anyone with additional information about the fatal crash to contact the Antelope Valley area CHP Office at 661-948-8541.
