39-Year-Old Man Fatally Struck in Pedestrian Accident near Folsom Boulevard
RANCHO CORDOVA, CA (July 19, 2023) - Saturday night,
Anthony Bustamante was killed in a pedestrian crash on Sunrise Boulevard.
Officers responded to the scene shortly before 10:00 p.m., near the intersection of Sunrise and Folsom Boulevard.
First responders located an unresponsive man on the road who appeared to have been hit by a vehicle.
Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced 39-year-old Bustamante, of Rancho Cordova dead at the scene. Shortly after, crews located a second male victim with non life-threatening injuries.
Following preliminary duties, police arrested 54-year-old
Andres Santibanez and 52-year-old
Sammuel Amorado and booked them into Sacramento County Main Jail for suspected homicide.
Investigators suspect that Amorado was driving under the influence and without a license. At this time, an active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway.
