Diana Filinyuk, Michael Olifir Killed in Car Crash on Interstate 80 [Roseville, CA]

Couples Dies in Pedestrian Collision near Roseville Parkway

ROSEVILLE, CA (February 10, 2022) - Early Saturday morning, Diana Filinyuk and Michael Olifir were killed in a crash on Interstate 80.

According to California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 12:20 a.m., on February 5. Dispatchers responded to the scene near Roseville Parkway shortly after.

Per reports, 19-year-old Filinyuk, of Rancho Cordova and 21-year-old Olifir, of Antelope pulled over their vehicle after witnessing another collision.

Having seen that both drivers were okay, they began walking back to their vehicle. However, there they were struck by a 2017 Jeep Commander.

Due to the impact of the collision, responding medics pronounced Filinyuk and Olifir dead at the scene.

Police did not arrest the Jeep driver, 45-year-old Brandy Kincaid, as they say the crash happened accidentally and she was not under the influence of alcohol.

At this time, the crash remains under active investigation by California Highway Patrol officers.
