Barbara Solve Killed in Rear-End Collision on Highway 101 [Petaluma, CA]

90-Year-Old Woman Pronounced Dead after Rear-End Accident near East Washington Street


PETALUMA, CA (November 21, 2023) - Barbara Solve, 90, died late Monday afternoon in a rear-end crash on northbound Highway 101 near East Washington Street.
The incident occurred around 4:42 p.m. Officers say Solve was driving a northbound Honda CR-V at high speeds during stop and go traffic. The Honda then struck the rear of a Range Rover that was traveling at slow speeds.

Paramedics took Solve, of Cotati to Petaluma Valley Hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.
Officers shut down the surrounding area for a brief time during cleaning duties. Once available, more details will be released to the public.
