Boutique Business Development House Say Say Experience Looking to Do More International Projects

Summary: Full-service business development, branding, and events agency Say Say Experience is broadening its international reach, with the help of the diversity provided by its globally distributed team.

Say Say Experience, a full-service business development, branding, and events agency, has announced that it is looking to work on more projects with overseas clients, as it looks to broaden its reach and utilize its internationally distributed team of clients.

The company was founded 10 years ago by Katharine Nicole Magsaysay, a Filipino-American entrepreneur, creative and project manager. Initially a social media-focused agency known as Katharine Nicole Magsaysay consulting followed by Room 2 RISE, Magsaysay expanded her scope of business to include simplified business development, full-service creative direction, and electrifying live-launch experiences. The company is a one-stop shop for mission-driven creatives who don’t know where to start in business, giving them a headstart through an open and collaborative production process.

Say Say Experience’s team extends beyond the US’ borders, with members located in different countries all over the world, collaborating through the use of technology. Some of its people are in the Philippines, Pakistan, the UAE, and the UK. This distributed and diverse team contributes a rich variety of viewpoints, skills, and experiences to each of the projects Say Say Experience undertakes. This multicultural character to the organization helps it become more versatile and able to understand the unique needs of clients in different countries.

“My favorite part of the business is that I get to work with cool clients,” Magsaysay says. “Most of our current clients are referral-based, which shows how satisfied our clients are with our services. We've already worked with international clients in the past, and, this year, we want to broaden our reach into even more markets. We want to be able to show that, while we are a US-based company, our vendors are not all based in the US, so our knowledge, expertise, and perspectives have long been global.”

According to Magsaysay, with an internationally distributed team, one of the most important things for her business is to pay a fair wage. Instead of paying just the minimum wage in the employee’s country of residence, the company pays closer to the US standard of living, helping the employee make more money than if they worked for a local employer.

“I love bragging about my team members and the people I work with,” Magsaysay says. “They all have great personalities and they all work well with people. They’re the best, that’s why I chose to work with them, and they continuously want to grow. We all come from different backgrounds and we all travel. This gives us a rich variety of experiences and supplies diverse perspectives, which we bring to our work. We want to avoid having just one perspective all throughout the organization, because that is not going to help anybody grow, especially in the creative industry.”

Moving forward, Magsaysay and her best friend Monica Schrock are creating a production house known as Sunset and Hollywood Productions, branching out from Say Say Experience. This venture is looking to take on bigger customers of a more corporate nature compared to Say Say Experience’s clientele, which is mostly composed of small and medium enterprises and creatives seeking to embark on their own business.
