SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, CA (October 25, 2023) - Sunday evening, a head-on collision on Santa Rosa Road claimed the lives of Cassidy Falk and Alia Griffin.
The fatal collision happened around 5:12 p.m. just west of Highway 101 between Lompoc and Buellton.
According to CHP, a 2022 Chevrolet traveling eastbound on Santa Rosa Road crossed over the double yellow lines.
As a result, the Chevy collided head-on with a 2004 Chevrolet traveling at about 40 mph.
Unfortunately, the first responders declared the two occupants of the 2022 Chevrolet dead at the scene. Authorities later identified the deceased occupants as Cassidy Falk of Solvang and Alia Griffin of Buellton. Both victims were determined to be 23 years old.
Meanwhile, paramedics airlifted the driver of the 2004 Chevy – 22-year-old Morgan Bouslaugh of Buellton, to Santa Barabara Cottage Hospital for serious injuries.
The California Highway Patrol continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash.
