60-Year-Old Woman Fatally Struck in Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident near Hazelwood Street

PHOENIX, AZ (November 10, 2023) - Cheryl Lowe lost her life Wednesday morning in a hit-and-run accident while crossing 29th Avenue. Multiple calls reached dispatch around 5:45 a.m. in the vicinity of Hazelwood Street on November 1st.

Reports indicate that a vehicle struck Lowe as she crossed the street outside of a designated crossing area.

Despite medical intervention, the 60-year-old passed away due to the severity of her injuries. The driver responsible remains unidentified, and the authorities are actively conducting search operations.
