Chxrry22 is Your Favorite Girl: Rising R&B star Chxrry22 has released a new EP called Siren which is positively bursting with quality pop-soul tunes. The focus track, and our favorite (appropriately enough), is "Favorite Girl" featuring Offset.
The song is described in the press release as, "a flowing, bass-driven song about yearning to be someone’s favorite person that finds the renowned rapper opening up about what it means to love someone wholeheartedly. Don’t let her yearning fool you."
“I’ve always been drawn to women with a dominant energy, and I don’t know why," Chxrry22 says. "It’s probably because I was always trying to find myself in them. Let me be clear, I don’t want to only be known for being beautiful, but if that’s what makes you pay attention, then I’ll use it to my advantage.”
"You could have anyone and I'd still be the girl you'd choose," Chxrry22 sings, displaying an admirable and understandable level of confidence.
It's a wonderfully upbeat, yet somehow simultaneously chill, tune. Chxrry22's voice purrs, while Offset adds some killer bars. Check it out below.
