Outstanding in the Field will once again set up its long table at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival this spring. Situated in the Rose Garden, the popular four-course farm-to-table dinners prepared by new and returning local and international guest chefs will once again celebrate the agricultural landscape of the Coachella Valley and other Southern California farmers.
The one-of-a-kind dining experience founded by artist Jim Denevan in 1999 returns to the festival for the seventh year after a two-year hiatus, with family-style dinners taking place on each of the six nights over the two weekends of the festival (April 15-17 and April 22-24).
Diego Hernandez and Donnie Masterson from Mexico, Gaggan Anand from Bangkok, Texas BBQ maestro Burt Bakman, L.A. culinary legend Eric Greenspan, vegan food activist Ayinde Howell, Seattle's Makini Howell, Michelin starred PHENAKITE's Minh Phan, Teresa Monta?o from DTLA's Oto?o, Lijo George and Max Boonthanakit from L.A.'s newest hotspot Camphor as well as Liz Johnson and Will Aghajanian from Horses on Sunset.
Of the more than 50 food and beverage vendors on the polo field, there will be more plant-based options than ever before, hidden tiki bars, a speakeasy omakase sushi restaurant and a full-service restaurant pop-up experience from Broad Street Oyster Co.
