One Hospitalized after Bicycle Accident near Kentucky Street

ALBUQUERQUE, NM (October 25, 2023) - A cyclist was hospitalized following a hit-and-run bicycle collision that took place on Zuni Road on Sunday evening. The incident unfolded at approximately 8:00 p.m. near Kentucky Street on October 15th.

According to the Albuquerque Police Department, a bicyclist was struck by an eastbound Ford pickup truck while attempting to cross Zuni Road. The cyclist sustained severe injuries and was promptly transported to UNM Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition.

Meanwhile, the driver of the Ford fled the scene before authorities arrived. Preliminary investigations indicated that the vehicle in question was a gray or charcoal Ford F-250, possibly a 2020 model, with front-end damage. The driver was last seen heading east on Zuni Road and then north on Louisiana Boulevard.
