Daljit Singh Killed in Big-Rig Accident on Riego Road [Sutter County, CA]

72-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Semi-Truck Collision near Pacific Road

SUTTER COUNTY, CA (October 26, 2023) - Daljit Singh lost his life Tuesday night in a fatal collision involving a big-rig on Riego Road. This devastating incident transpired shortly before 7:00 p.m. in the vicinity of Pacific Road.

Police say Singh was at the wheel of a white Nissan SUV, heading west when he collided with a Peterbilt tractor-trailer, operated by a 31-year-old named Chad Foxworthy.

The impact sent Singh's vehicle careening off the road and into a nearby ditch. In contrast, Foxworthy had come to a halt in the eastbound lanes of the road. Medical personnel arrived and pronounced 72-year-old Singh dead.

Preliminary investigations suggest that neither alcohol nor drugs played a role in the accident. Nevertheless, an active investigation into the incident is still underway.

No words can mend the broken hearts and sorrow felt during this delicate moment. Deepest condolences and sympathies are with the family and friends of Daljit Singh.
