44-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Collision near Brentwood Stair Road

FORT WORTH, TX (November 1, 2023) - Demarco Antonie Sanders died Thursday morning in a fatal pedestrian collision on East Freeway. The incident occurred around 6:30 a.m., at the 5900 block of East Freeway near Brentwood Stair Road on October 12th.
Police officers say the driver of a passing vehicle ran over a pedestrian who was lying on the road and immediately reported it. Medical personnel arrived and identified the male pedestrian as 44-year-old Sanders.

Following preliminary duties, crews believe that two separate vehicles struck the victim.
Personnel closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. At this time, an active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway.
