30-Year-Old Driver Pronounced Dead after Head-On Accident near 8th Street

ASOTIN COUNTY, WA (November 2, 2023) - Dylan Houser lost his life Monday afternoon in a head-on collision on Fleshman Way. Authorities arrived at the scene, responding at approximately 1:30 p.m.

The incident occurred in the 500 block of Fleshman Way, east of 8th Street on October 30th.

Per initial reports, Dylan Houser was behind the wheel of a blue Dodge Neon, traveling eastward. Meanwhile, Brandon Carcas was driving a red Dodge pickup-truck, with a passenger named Kyler Winn.

Under circumstances that remain unclear, Houser veered across the center divider, resulting in a devastating head-on collision with the pickup-truck.

Medical personnel transported both Carcas and Winn to TriState Health for treatment, with non life-threatening injuries. Houser, however, was taken to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center.

Due to the severity of his injuries, medical professionals at the hospital later pronounced the 30-year-old Houser deceased.

Following their preliminary investigations, law enforcement officers ruled out alcohol or speed as contributing factors in the collision. An active investigation is currently in progress to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the event.
