Echo & the Bunnymen Bounce Back to LA: The tour from the Liverpool post-punk band is called Celebrating 40 years of Magical Songs, which is quite confident of them but they're right. Their back catalog is staggeringly good.

Ian McCulloch told us that, The LA gigs will show a band still wanting to prove it's eternal brilliance. As always we'll be aiming for the Stars and whatever lies beyond?

Opening the show is local duo Cayucas, and a press release reads: Brothers Zach and Ben Yudin are no strangers to providing the perfect summer soundtrack. They just shared?their newest single 'Sayulita,' a daydreamy track about imagining a place you've never been. Earlier this summer, the band shared the?breezy single 'Topo Rides the Wave.' Known for their sunny, melodic surf rock and buoyant, rhythmic jams, the recent singles follow 2020's acclaimed album?Blue Summer?(Park the Van).

Speaking of Brit '80s music, the Echo show comes a few nights after Soft Cell perform at the Microsoft Theatre, on Wednesday, August 24. Earlier in the year, Soft Cell teamed up with Pet Shop Boys for a single.

'Purple Zone' is now a dream duet for synth-pop connoisseurs as?Marc Almond's?ultra-expressive delivery intertwines with?Neil Tennant's?wistful yearning, encapsulating the existential questions about the passing of time that are posed throughout the course of the album, reads a press release. Raising its tempo,Pet Shop Boys?also added a hi-NRG sheen that elevates the track's moody melancholy,Chris Lowe's?trademark high-drama synths producing a theatrical intensity.
