Since the winter surge in positive COVID-19 cases, L.A. Public Health has urged residents to leave behind its cloth masks and opt for surgical grade masks, or higher.
The county have also required vaccination or negative COVID-19 checks at the entrance of mega events such as games at stadiums and the same will apply for the Super Bowl.

Schloessman told L.A. Weekly on January 13. I think everybody knows what the protocols are, they know if it got more serious, what they'd have to 'up' the protocols to be. We are very excited to bring people back to Los Angeles and show them that we can host a healthy and safe event, and I think everyone's going to be excited to come out and support it.
