Print star Jidenna told us that, “I have been living, I’ve been loving, I’ve been staying true to the lessons I learned during the pandemic. Which was, life is really about the hang, hanging out, experiencing. So I think that in many ways I’ve been living in accordance to what I feel my natural life pace is as opposed to the American over-glorification of work. I’ve learned from my European and African fellows, who said that life is more about pleasure than it is just work. So I think that pretty much sums up what I’ve been up to.”
In "Not Another DJ," Methane said that, “The album is a memo of a journey through our minds and our impressions from the last years as a global touring act. The album was started in Mykonos in front of the sea and sun, then we finished writing it in a lot of different countries and continents. Dance, feelings, utopia and dystopia, love and violence, darkness and lights, the opposite and their forces-when they match and when they don’t, these are the themes.”
