Getting Nasty with grouptherapy

Getting Nasty with grouptherapy: L.A.-based genre-defying project grouptherapy released new single and video "Nasty" on May 30, and it's a banger.

"Lined with a unique ferocity, the track is an irresistible nostalgic treat," reads a press release. "Yes they’re cool but man they're insanely versatile - it’s just DAMN GOOD.  They’re showing all the way out after coming out from a period of real darkness with this new body of work. They’re having fun in their resilience! They're real life best friends who are so deeply different but yet so intensely connected and create insanely insatiable music rooted in deep vulnerability. Sonically it’s an explosion of EVERYTHING and embodiment of true judgment free zone."

The tune does see the outfit seamlessly bounce between hip-hop, pop, funk and EDM. The result is a joyful, 'rude-heavy ditty.

Meanwhile, the video has them moving between a tiled white room and some sort of parking structure, occasionally through a fish eye lens. It's all very effective.

Getting Nasty with grouptherapy: grouptherapy's "Nasty" is out from May 3o.
