Sony Pictures' and Columbia Pictures' much-anticipated film Ghostbusters premiered at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood on Saturday, July 9. Directed by Paul Feig, the film reboots the franchise featuring the new female Ghostbusters: Leslie Jones, Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig and Kate McKinnon. The stars of the film, filmmakers, celebrities, soundtrack musicians and digital influencers walked the slime-green carpet, posing for pictures and signing autographs for fans. The premiere also featured the Ecto 1 Cadillac from the new film, a giant Stay Puft Marshmallow Man, a Ghostbusters headquarters firehouse replica and Hologram USA ghost hologram projection. Also in attendance were 300-plus superfans who are part of Ghost Corps, a company dedicated to the creative initiatives of the franchise. Ghostbusters opens nationwide on July 15.
