ARLINGTON, TX (November 30, 2023) - Monday morning, a multi-vehicle collision on West Division Street left one person dead and Guerrero Madrid Salgado injured.
Officers responded to the crash around 9:00 a.m. at the 3900 block of West Division Street in Arlington.
According to the police, a westbound 2011 Chevrolet Silverado crossed the eastbound lanes of the roadway.

Responding emergency personnel declared the 2001 Silverado driver dead at the scene. However, their identity remains undisclosed, pending notification from the next of kin.
Meanwhile, paramedics rushed the 2011 Silverado driver to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. They were later identified as 44-year-old Guerrero Madrid Salgado.
Investigators claimed that Salgado was intoxicated at the time of the incident. Salgado will eventually be booked into the city jail for vehicular manslaughter and one count of possession of a controlled substance.
Authorities will post additional information as it becomes available.
