Whenever I put this album on and I hear the beginning of “Look Alive, Sunshine,” it instantaneously puts me into a place where my soul is happy. I became obsessed with this masterpiece to the point where I created my own killjoy character. The storyline is the main thing I hyper-fixated on. I fell in love with the message of always fighting for what you believe in and using your voice even when they try to shut your mouth— “Keep running!” is a line that sticks me to this day and my personal mantra.
When people ask me what album describes me, Danger Days: The True Lives Of the Fabulous Killjoys is my number one answer. “NaNaNaNa”, “Planetary (GO)”, and “Vampire Money,” are songs that make me want to drive fast, jump around, and run until my legs give out. This album is extremely close to my heart and all the hard times that I’ve struggled with, this album has truly saved me.
