James Michael Dewbre Killed in 2-Car Accident on US Highway 385 [Hockley County, TX]

50-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Fatal Two-Vehicle Crash near American Road

HOCKLEY COUNTY, TX (December 12, 2023) - James Michael Dewbre died Monday afternoon in a 2-car crash on US Highway 385 and American Road. The incident occurred at approximately 12:20 p.m., on December 4th.












Authorities report that Andrew Mitchell, 21, was traveling east on American Road when he neglected to stop at the intersection, resulting in a collision with a northbound vehicle driven by Dewbre. Shortly after, medical personnel pronounced Dewbre, aged 50, deceased at the scene.
