TEMPLE, TX (December 18, 2023) - Jimmy Louis Crathers died Thursday afternoon in a U-turn crash on Avenue H near Southeast Loop. The incident occurred at approximately 3:20 p.m., on December 7th.
According to accounts, Crathers, aged 66, was operating a vehicle and executed a U-turn within the loop. During this maneuver, the driver of another vehicle collided with the driver's side of Crathers' vehicle. The collision proved fatal for Crathers, while his passenger suffered severe injuries.
Emergency responders took the injured passenger to Baylor Scott & White Hospital. Conversely, the other driver emerged without significant injuries. Troopers took measures to block the southbound lanes of the highway. Presently, an ongoing investigation is in progress to ascertain the details surrounding the incident.
