John Cooper Clarke at the Moroccan: Fans of old school, classic British punk will know the name John Cooper Clarke. The Mancunian punk poet laureate made a name for himself articulating the plight of the working class better than most, and his acerbic wit made him a hit with those enamored with caustic, raw music. Few poets were able to insert themselves into a music scene so seamlessly and comfortably, and Clarke is still a gem today.
It's be fascinating to see what the good doctor pulls out at the Moroccan.
John Cooper Clarke at the Moroccan: The event takes place at 6 p.m. on Saturday, September 23 at the Moroccan Lounge.
