John Sellers Dies in 2-Car Accident on Highway 126 [Santa Paula, CA]

60-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Two-Car Collision near Hobson Road


SANTA PAULA, CA (December 18, 2023) - John Sellers early Thursday morning in a 2-car accident on Highway 126 just west of Hibson. Police responded to the scene around 5:34 a.m.
According to reports, the operator of a 2008 Toyota Prius in silver accessed the eastbound lanes from a private driveway, resulting in a collision with a 2017 Jeep Compass. Emergency responders extracted and conveyed the male driver of the Jeep to Ventura County Medical Center, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries. The deceased individual was later identified as 60-year-old John Sellers from Bakersfield.

In the initial stages of the investigation, the 31-year-old male driver of the Prius remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. Those who observed the incident are urged to reach out to the California Highway Patrol at 805-662-2640.
