Two Pronounced Dead after Three-Vehicle Crash near Henderson

RUSK COUNTY, TX (November 22, 2023) - Jonathan Holland and Addison Shepard died Thursday night in a three-car collision on Highway 79, near Henderson.
Police responded to the scene at approximately 5:30 p.m., on November 2nd. Investigators say 18-year-old Holland was operating a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado with his passenger, 10-year-old Shepard.
Meanwhile, 36-year-old Brianne Nicole Shutter was driving a 2019 Jeep Wrangler. The Chevy then slowed down to make a left turn when Shutter was unable to slow down in time. The Jeep then struck the rear of the Chevy.
As a result, the Chevy was pushed into the westbound lanes where it hit a 2018 Ram 2500 pickup-truck that was towing a trailer. Paramedics arrived and declared both Holland and Shepard dead at the scene, due to the extent of injuries sustained.
In addition, crews took Shutter, 36, to Christus Mother Frances Hospital while her passenger was taken to LSU Hospital for treatment.
