La Puente High School Sex Hazing Case Sees Charges For Three Teens

A bizarre sexual hazing ritual at La Puente High School resulted in charges for three teen boys, the L.A. County District Attorney's office says.

Two of the three unidentified students were each charged with suspicion of sexual penetration with a foreign object, assault with a deadly weapon, sexual battery and counts of hazing, according to a D.A.'s statement.

The first two of those allegations are felonies:

The D.A.'s office says a third teen was hit with ...

... one felony count of sexual penetration with a foreign object, one felony count of assault with a deadly weapon, two misdemeanor counts of hazing and two misdemeanor counts of sexual battery.

Prosecutors say one victim was the targeted for penetration and assault and that three other victims sustained sexual battery.

The suspects were arrested last month but were released to the custody of their parents.

Despite the seriousness of the allegations the D.A.'s office says they were charged in "juvenile criminal petitions."

The trio was scheduled to be arraigned in juvenile court Nov. 19.
