LEON COUNTY, TX (December 12, 2023) - Lane Wireman and Seth Brown died Monday morning in a tractor-trailer crash on U.S. 79 near Farm-Market 39.
The incident occurred at approximately 6:00 p.m., on November 27th.
Investigators report that the driver of a 2016 Ford Transit van failed to yield the right-of-way when entering the intersection, resulting in a collision with a southbound tractor-trailer.
The impact of the crash caused multiple occupants inside the van to be ejected onto the road, leading to life-threatening injuries.
Due to the severity of their conditions, 24-year-old Wireman and 25-year-old Brown were pronounced dead at the scene by medics. Paramedics transported three other van occupants to various hospitals for additional medical treatment. The tractor-trailer driver emerged from the collision without sustaining any injuries.
