LUUDE-r for Those at the Back: Australian dance act LUUDE says that he was always into bands but became obsessed with dance music when introduced to that world by his friends.

"I wanted to learn how to make it - then just went down the YouTube rabbit hole of tutorials," he says.

Today, LUUDE says that his sound is tough to nail down.

"Always trying to do different stuff really so I don’t think there’s one clear sound - but some people do say they think I have a sound so who knows," he says.

The artist says that this is a great time for electronic music with a lot of talented producers out there.

"It’s also feeling like drum n bass is starting to have a serious moment in the US," he says. "Everyone in the scene is buzzing about it."

LUUDE recently performed at Brownies & Lemonade.

"So fun," he says. "Love those guys and everyone who comes out to those shows. It’s such a good vibe.  It’s crazy to be on a pop up DnB show on a Wednesday night and it is going that mental with so many people."

Looking. ahead, LUUDE has plenty planned for the rest of 2o23.

"Ahh yeah a few more records out this year I’m excited about, touring for the next three months across EU/UK and coming back to the US for HARD SUMMER in LA, Lost Lands and a few other festivals," he says.
