MISSION HILLS, CA (October 25, 2023) - A motorcycle collision on Chatsworth Street left one man dead, early Sunday. Dispatchers received calls around 12:45 a.m., near 180 Freeway.
Reports indicate that the driver of a southbound dark-colored sedan drove through a red-light at the intersection. The sedan then turned east onto Chatsworth Street where it collided with a motorcycle rider and quickly left the scene without calling police.
Medics took the rider to a nearby hospital where he later died. Officers eventually described the deceased victim as a 40 to 45-year-old man.
At this time, the city of Los Angeles is offering a reward of up to $50,000 to anyone who can offer additional information. Once available, further details will be released.
