33-Year-Old Cyclist Fatally Struck by RTC Bus near South Nellis Boulevard

LAS VEGAS, NV (November 29, 2023) - One man died Friday afternoon in a bicycle crash on East Tropicana Avenue and South Nellis Boulevard.

The incident occurred at approximately 3:00 p.m., on November 17th.

Reports indicate that a bus driver from the Regional Transportation Commission failed to stop at an intersection, colliding with a 33-year-old cyclist in the process. The impact resulted in severe injuries to the bicyclist, who was subsequently transported to a nearby hospital. There, the cyclist succumbed to the injuries.

In the initial assessments, authorities observed signs of intoxication in the bus driver. Currently, an ongoing investigation is in progress to gather additional information on the incident.
