62-Year-Old Los Gatos Man Pronounced Dead after Motorcycle Collision near Dimeo Lane


SANTA CRUZ, CA (November 17, 2023) - One 62-year-old man died Saturday afternoon in a motorcycle collision on Highway 1 near Dimeo Lane.
Dispatchers received calls around 2:04 p.m., near the Wilder Ranch State Park between Santa Cruz and Davenport.
Officers say the rider of a red 2008 Victory Vision motorcycle struck a white 2003 Toyota Tundra pickup-truck. However, further circumstances surrounding the crash remain unclear. Investigators also say both vehicles were heading south.
Medical personnel later pronounced the motorcyclist deceased, due to the extent of his condition. Moreover, the driver and the passenger inside the Tacoma remained uninjured
At this time, crews do not suspect that alcohol or drugs played a factor. Once available, further details will be provided.
