LONG BEACH, CA (October 17, 2023) - Late Saturday afternoon, a motorcycle collision on Willow Street claimed the life of one unidentified man.
The incident unfolded at approximately 5:35 p.m., at the intersection of Willow Street and Palo Verde Avenue. According to reports, the driver of a 2019 Nissan Sentra, traveling eastbound, failed to yield to traffic and made a northward turn onto Palo Verde Avenue.
This resulted in a collision with a 2021 Harley Davidson that was traveling westbound on Willow Street. The impact forcibly ejected the rider from the motorcycle on the road.
Paramedics arrived and transported the injured motorcyclist to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner will disclose the identity of the deceased rider once available.
Meanwhile, the 63-year-old Long Beach resident operating the Nissan remained at the scene and fully cooperated with the ongoing investigation.
