Man Dies in Sedan vs Pickup-Truck Collision on Interstate 35 [Austin, TX]

Man Pronounced Dead after Two-Vehicle Accident near Ben White Boulevard

AUSTIN, TX (November 1, 2023) - Sunday afternoon, an unidentified man lost his life following a two-car collision on Interstate 35.

The incident took place at approximately 1:40 p.m. on October 15th, on Interstate 35 in the vicinity of Ben White Boulevard. The Austin Police Department promptly responded to a report regarding a collision involving a sedan and a pick-up truck. The driver of the sedan was struck as he exited his vehicle. Tragically, he was discovered beneath the vehicle and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Meanwhile, the pick-up driver, who remained unharmed, cooperated with the investigation. In addition, a significant section of the interstate was temporarily closed to facilitate cleanup and preliminary procedures. However, the roadway has since been reopened for regular traffic. Authorities refrained from disclosing the victim's identity until notifying the next of kin. Furthermore, the police are seeking information from anyone who may have details about the collision on Interstate 35.
