Male Pedestrian Pronounced Dead after Fatal Accident near Fort Lowell

TUCSON, AZ (December 6, 2023) - One man died Sunday night in a hit-and-run pedestrian collision on 1st Avenue and East Fort Lowell Road. The incident occurred at approximately 6:30 p.m.








Upon reaching the scene, authorities discovered that a southbound vehicle on North 1st Avenue had collided with a male pedestrian. Following the impact, the driver fled without offering assistance or notifying police.

 

Responding personnel pronounced the unidentified man dead at the scene.

 

Emergency crews temporarily cordoned off the vicinity for cleanup and initial procedures. Those with additional details about the incident on 1st Avenue are urged to promptly contact 911, 88-CRIME, or local authorities.
