36-Year-Old Patterson Man Killed in Pedestrian Collision near Grant Line Road
TRACY, CA (November 21, 2023) - Early Saturday morning, one person died in a pedestrian crash on Interstate 205 near Grant Line Road. Officers responded to the scene around 3:45 a.m., on the eastbound lanes of the freeway after receiving multiple dispatch calls. Per reports, the driver of a Peterbilt semi-truck pulled over on the right shoulder to aid those involved in a previous collision. The driver of a passing vehicle then hit the man as he was walking back to his truck.
Paramedics arrived and declared the 36-year-old man from Patterson dead at the scene. Moreover, the woman driving the Kia remained uninjured. Crews shut down the surrounding area for a brief time during clearing operations. At this time, an active investigation is still currently underway.
