Nationwide "March For Our Lives" protests are planned for Saturday, June 11, with several Los Angeles locations taking part.

The student-led gun reform march is in response to the mass shootings recently occurred in both Buffalo, New York and Uvalde, Texas.

"As a high school sophomore I am endlessly tired of having to watch my surroundings and hear 'thoughts and prayers-this is sickening' while it goes on to be forgotten in a week," Anna Pham, organizer for the Grand Park protest, wrote in the event registration page. "It is absolutely sickening to see GOP leaders earn up to $13 million dollars from the NRA from the trigger of a deadly gun while a mother will never be able to drive her child to school again."

Meeting at Grand Park in downtown Los Angeles, the March For Our Lives gun reform protest will begin at noon this Saturday, with at least 11 marches planned throughout Los Angeles County, from Long Beach and Pasadena, to the Antelope Valley.

On a national level, a larger march is planned to take place in Washington D.C., with protesters to meet at the Washington Monument at noon EST.

The gun control advocates are expecting hundreds of regional protests across the U.S., similar to the organization's 2018 demonstration in response to the Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in Parkland, Florida.
