Maria Sebastian Arrested after Fatal DUI Crash on Lakeville Highway [Petaluma, CA]

Passenger Pronounced Dead after Multi-Vehicle Collision near Stage Gulch Road


PETALUMA, CA (November 28, 2023) - Maria Sebastian was arrested Tuesday afternoon after a DUI collision on southbound Lakeville Highway near Stage Gulch Road.
Authorities responded to the scene shortly before 2:40 p.m., after receiving multiple calls in the area.
Per reports, a southbound Chevrolet Colorado drove into oncoming lanes and struck a Toyota Tundra. The Toyota then rolled over and hit a nearby Kia Sorento.
Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced the driver of the Kia dead at the scene. Paramedics took the Kia driver to John Muir Health Walnut Creek Medical Center in critical condition.

In addition, the Toyota driver was hospitalized at Petaluma Valley Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
Police later determined that the Chevrolet driver was under the influence at the time. Officers later arrested and booked the Chevy driver, 57-year-old Maria Sebastian, into the Sonoma County Jail. At this time, Sebastian is currently facing two felony charges and is being held on $125,000 bail.
