SACRAMENTO, CA (October 17, 2023) - Saturday afternoon, Mashea Jordan and Aphis Nash were pronounced dead in a stolen vehicle accident on Kiefer Boulevard.
Around 2:40 p.m., deputies attempted to stop a reportedly stolen Tesla spotted on Armstrong Avenue and Von Karman Street.
Subsequently, the Tesla crashed into a minivan at the 8000 block of Kiefer Boulevard, pinning two people inside.
Sacramento Fire units eventually arrived at the scene and extricated the two women inside the minivan. Unfortunately, one of the women died at the scene while the other was transported to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.
According to the sheriff’s office, the driver of the stolen Tesla died as well. Later, the coroner’s office identified the two deceased parties as 42-year-old Mashea Jordan and 26-year-old Aphis Nash.
Furthermore, both directions of the roadway were temporarily shut down to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.
At this time, the Sacramento Police Department is leading the investigation.
