Multiple T-Mobile Stores Targeted In L.A. 'Smash-and-Grab' Thefts

At least three T-Mobile stores in the San Fernando Valley were hit by "smash-and-grab" thefts on Monday.

T-Mobile locations in Woodland Hills, Reseda and Valley Village were targeted in the thefts, with multiple suspects involved in each incident.

After the reported incidents, LAPD said it would increase patrol in the area.

"Due to several incidents of organized retail theft at multiple cellphone stores in the City of LA, with several locations in the San Fernando Valley, the LAPD has added extra patrols including detectives, both as a deterrence and to investigate & arrest those behind these crimes," LAPD said through its Twitter account. " Reducing the fear and incidence of crime is a shared responsibility, and we ask every Angeleno...if you have any info on those responsible for these crimes, or any crime, report them to the LAPD..."

It is not yet clear if the incidents are connected.
