Omar Moreno Dies in Single-Vehicle Crash on South Nogales Highway [Tucson, AZ]

37-Year-Old Driver Pronounced Dead after Solo-Car Accident near Aero Park Boulevard

TUCSON, AZ (November 2, 2023) - Omar Moreno lost his life Saturday afternoon in a solo vehicle accident on South Nogales Highway. At approximately 2:10 p.m., police arrived at the 10000 block of South Nogales Highway in response to the situation.

After conducting initial investigations, authorities concluded that the crash resulted from Moreno experiencing a medical emergency while operating the vehicle. As a consequence, his vehicle veered off the road, collided with a fence, and ultimately overturned before coming to rest among mounds of dirt.

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department later discovered 37-year-old Moreno inside his vehicle. No other vehicles were involved in this tragic collision.

Law enforcement officials confirmed that neither excessive speed nor impairment contributed to the accident. Currently, an active investigation is underway to understand the circumstances surrounding this event.
