Stevie Nicks and Billy Joel
This is the first time Stevie Nicks and Billy Joel have paired together for a tour.
Stevie Nicks is known for her solo work and with the band Fleetwood Mac -- her involvement in that band led it to become one of the best-selling bands of all time. The Fleetwood Mac album
Rumours has achieved a certification of 20 times platinum in the U.S., and won the Grammy for Album of the Year.
Nicks began her solo career in 1981, releasing music while staying in Fleetwood Mac. She has eight solo studio albums under her belt, and has been named by
Rolling Stone as one of the top 100 Greatest Songwriters of All Time, and is the first female artist to land a place in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice -- once with Fleetwood Mac, and once solo.
As a solo artist, Nicks has been nominated for eight Grammys.
Billy Joel is known as "The Piano Man" after his song and album, and his tendency to sit and sing behind the keys. He has released 12 albums and is one of the absolute best selling solo artists of all time.
Hailing from the Bronx and Long Island, New York, Joel has three Billboard 100 top hits, as well as dozens in the top 40. He has won six Grammys and been nominated for a total 23. He is a recipient of the Kennedy Center Honors, and has been inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
