Opinionated, powerful, passionate, badass... women who rock are all of these things and any opportunity to acknowledge them --even if it is another holiday we shouldn't need-- must be taken. The Morrison Hotel Gallery will honor the muses and musicians, the mothers and image-makers, the phenomenal women everywhere and the meaningful lives they lead with a new exhibit, Women Who Rock, opening on International Women's Day, and featuring photographs of not just music-makers, but women in art and activism as well, all of whom have made inspiring changes to culture as we know it.

Co-curated by Whoopi Goldberg and Debbie Harry, the exhibit offers more than 100 works celebrating female excellence and accomplishment (on view at both Morrison's New York and Los Angeles galleries) including Goldberg herself, the only Black woman to earn EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony) status. Other legends in the show include Tina Turner (the first Black female to be on the cover of the Rolling Stone), Aretha Franklin (the first woman inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame), Patti Smith, Dolly Parton, June Carter Cash, Lauryn Hill, Diana Ross and many more. Photographers include Duffy, Henry Diltz, Barry Feinstein, Cheryl Fox, Lynn Goldsmith, Bob Gruen, Terry O'Neill, Mick Rock, Norman Seef, Stephanie Pfriender Stylander, Allan Tannenbaum, Barrie Wentzell and Timothy White to name a few.
