Two Pronounced Dead after Three-Car Accident near River Bridge

ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (November 3, 2023) - Quinnon Gardner and Rolando Reyes lost their lives Thursday afternoon in a three-car crash on State Highway 103 near the River Bridge. At approximately 4:55 p.m., law enforcement arrived at the scene.

According to preliminary reports, Gardner was behind the wheel of an eastbound Ford Flex, while Reyes was operating a westbound 2009 Chevrolet pickup-truck with a trailer in tow. Officers say Gardner then swerved into the westbound lanes, resulting in a head-on collision with the Chevrolet.

Upon impact, the trailer disengaged from the truck and struck another vehicle driven by Brian Massey.

Medical responders arrived and confirmed the death of Quinnon Gardner, a 44-year-old resident of Center, and Rolando Reyes, a 36-year-old from Larkin, at the scene.

An active investigation is in progress to uncover additional details regarding this incident. Further information will be shared as it becomes available.
