Rider Pronounced Dead after Motorcycle Accident on Kietzke Lane [Reno, NV]

Motorcyclist Fatally Struck in Deadly Collision on Vassar Street

RENO, NV (December 12, 2023) - One rider died Wednesday afternoon in a motorcycle crash on Kietzke Lane and Vassar Street.

Emergency personnel arrived at the location on December 6th at approximately 4:30 p.m. Details leading up to the incident are currently unclear, but preliminary reports suggest a collision between a vehicle and a motorcyclist in the vicinity.

Upon arrival, members of the Reno Police, Reno Fire, and REMSA discovered the motorcyclist incapacitated on the ground in critical condition. The injured rider was transported by first responders to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Law enforcement has not yet disclosed the victim's identity.

Concurrently, the driver involved in the incident remained at the scene and fully cooperated with the ongoing investigation. Initial assessments do not attribute the collision to speed or impairment. The Reno Police Department's Major Accident Investigation Team is overseeing further inquiry into the matter.
