Guillermo del Toro's Nightmare Alley offers new vision in darkness and light
The film has been hailed by critics --
ours included-- for its dark complexity and cinematic beauty, meshing lush visuals with palpable film noir touches. A new 35mm version of the film --in striking black and white-- promises to heighten the Old Hollywood qualities del Toro intended.
Nightmare Alley: Vision In Darkness And Light, will screen in limited engagement in L.A. the next few weeks and del Toro will be on hand for a series of Q&A's as well.

The new print debuts at the Landmark on Pico Blvd. this Fri, and the filmmaker will be present to discuss afterward. He'll be back on Sun., Jan. 16 for the 5 p.m. show. The following weekend, the film screens at Landmark's historic Nuart Theatre with del Toro's Q&A following the 7:30pm show on Saturday, Jan. 22.
