From Design to Film
Noor’s artistic journey began at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCUQ) with a focus on graphic design. It evolved through her Master's studies at the Savannah College of Arts and Design University in Atlanta, Georgia. This educational path sharpened her visual communication skills and set the stage for her transition into the film industry. "Design was my first language. But now, cinema is my voice," she reflects. Her acclaimed short film, "Dana's Kite," is a vibrant portrayal of Qatar's generational dialogue, earning praise for its authenticity and depth at the Ajyal Youth Film Festival and recognition at the Cannes Film Festival in 2015 and 2016.
Additionally, her narrative prowess extends to her feature project, "The Pearl," which challenges viewers to reconnect with the essence of human interaction in the digital age. This film continues her commitment to storytelling that resonates universally, showcasing Qatari culture and perspectives to a global audience. "My ambition," Al-Nasr states,"is to place Qatar on the global cinematic map through stories that transcend cultural boundaries."
